Mission Update #3 Honduras 2016

Mikayla and Mom left Copan, Honduras this morning. Saturday was their free day to tour the city and also to go Zip-lining! In Mikayala's own words, "It was amazing, I felt like a bird, I even went upside down." Later, she went to a bird park, the same one I visited two years ago! On Sunday the team went to a local church in Copan, called Laco Secha. Mother gave a salvation message for the children. Mikayla and several other team members helped with the children's ministry.  We heard that sixteen children came to know Christ. What an incredible testimony!

Today they are suppose to arrive in Louisville, Kentucky around 11:55pm. I can not wait to see my sister and Mother! The main reason I am so excited to see them is to hear more about what amazing things God has done! I can still remember coming home to America, crying because of how much I missed the ministry, even after just two hours! God does something to you after a mission trip, it changes you - HE changes you!  On the mission field it is different, you thought you were going to give, but more is given unto you. God deposits his heart to you on the mission field, you begin to see with his eyes, love with his love, and move with his Spirit! I do know, however, some people are not meant to be long term missionaries.  Yet, a short trip to the mission field will allow God to speak to your heart and create a love for missionaries.
